The City of Toronto is modifying and upgrading the storm sewer system in the area in order to reduce basement flooding. This work also involves replacing the City-owned portion of substandard water services and sanitary sewer laterals. Work is planned on Old Mill Drive, Catherine Street and Etienne Brule Park.
The project team hosted virtual trailer drop-in meetings for the public to ask questions during construction. The last meeting was held on May 9, 2024 as construction work has been completed and restoration currently underway.
