The City of Toronto will be cleaning and relining the watermain on Fenmar Drive from Steeles Avenue West to Weston Road and Kenhar Drive from Fenmar Drive to Signet Drive. This project is part of the Council-approved Capital Works Program to renew Toronto’s aging infrastructure, improve water distribution and reduce the risk of watermain breaks.
During this process, the City will also replace the City-owned portion of any substandard water service pipes.
The water service is the underground pipe that brings water from the watermain to your water meter. The City owns the portion of pipe from the municipal watermain to your property line. Property owners own the portion of pipe from their property line to the property’s water meter.
The construction area is Fenmar Drive from Steeles Avenue West to Weston Road and Kenhar Drive.

The project is expected to take place from spring to fall 2023.

The contractor will maintain access to driveways in the work area. However, bypass connections can restrict driveway space, impacting turning radius of larger vehicles like trucks.
Parking will be limited on the public boulevard during construction.
A Virtual Public Meeting was held on March 23, 2023 and included a presentation followed by a Question and Answer period.
